DESCRIPTION:Experience the beauty of YMCA Storer Camps' 1200 acres with an extra splash of color thrown in during our first-ever 5k Color Fun Run/Walk and 1mi Color Fun Run/Walk. Enjoy a mixed course of paved\, dirt and off-road trails while you travel through the woods\, down to the lake and around horse pastures. The trees might have some color remaining on them\, but you'll be even more colorful at the end of your run. Sign up to register here: https://www.ymcatoledo.org/programs/246/?locations=38...\n\nRace Information Saturday\, November 18\n\nAll participants will check in at Malachi Dining Hall on race day beginning at 8am. 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run starts at 9:00 am and 5K starts at 9:30 am. Each registered participant will receive a race shirt at check-in. Parking is available at the Malachi Dining Hall entrance with an indoor space available for bathrooms and warming up.\n\nTiming and Course Information\n\nThe 5k and 1mi Run/Walk are both hand timed. Both courses will begin traveling through the North Center of camp and follow the same route for the first .75mi before splitting. Each course will either be marked or have race officials guiding participants. Both courses will have periods of paved sidewalks\, dirt roads and natural trails. Be advised that parts of the trails may have loose or uneven ground.\n\nWeather Policy\n\nThis event will occur in all weather conditions except for lightning. Please plan to dress appropriately for whatever Mother Nature decides to throw at us.\n\nRefund Policy\n\nThere will be no refunds issued for this event.\n\nWho is allowed to participate?\n\nHumans of any age are welcomed to race! No YMCA membership is required. Only race participants will be allowed on the course\, but spectators are welcome to wait at the finish line (also at Malachi Dining Hall). Due to our course traveling along our horse pastures\, no dogs are allowed to participate.\n\nWhat do you mean by Color Fun Run/Walk?\n\nYou've heard of those runs that have colorful powders dispersed on runners throughout? That's what this is! Along each course will be race officials with various colored powder that will be tossed at runners along the way. If you would prefer not to have any powder tossed on you\, you can move around the race officials and/or politely ask (we're pretty nice folks).
