Description
The Devil’s Lake Art Festival returns for a ninth year of art, music, food and family-friendly fun on June 17, from 10 am to 5 pm in the Manitou Beach Village at Devils Lake. This one-day event showcases the creativity of local artists and crafters while offering visitors a wide range of activities, including live music, an interactive children's area, and wide range of food choices including a beer and wine tent.
The festival will feature more than 100 fine artists and crafters booths. Visitors can browse through a diverse selection of paintings, pottery, jewelry, woodworking and more. Many artists and crafters featured at the festival are from the southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio, highlighting the creative talents of the local community.
For families with children, the festival will have an interactive children's area that includes pony rides, face painting, and other fun activities. Kids can let their imagination run wild in the hands-on art tent which will include a take-home art project for each child.
And what would a festival be without food and entertainment? Live music from local talent of all ages including a headliner band on the main stage playing until 7 pm.
Adults can also enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine while enjoying the festival by stopping by the beer and wine tent.
"We are excited to bring the community together for another year of art, music, and fun," said Laura Heidtman, the festival's organizer. "Our goal is to create a family-friendly event that celebrates the creative talents of our local artists and crafters while offering visitors a fun and memorable experience."
Admission to the Devil’s Lake Art Festival is free. The festival will take place rain or shine, so be sure to dress accordingly.
