Thursday’s Program—Learn some basic 1840s farm chores. Once you have learned how to wash clothes and make your bed you will compete against your fellow campers in a relay race to see who can do their chores faster and better! Then relax, as you make an 1840 tin punch reflector!
Fridays Program—Spend some corny time in the nineteenth century! Learn how to grind corn in a tree stump! Identify the various types of corn and their history. Plant corn in a jar so you can watch it grow on your own windowsill and listen to park interpreters tell “corny jokes.”
Once you have completed your program session spend some time in the park! Cambridge Junction Historic State Park offers grills, picnic tables, and short walking paths so you can get outdoors, have a picnic, or enjoy a walk-in nature! What a great time to spend time with your favorite child this summer!
