Class will begin at 8:00am. The total approximate time is 9 hours. However, class discussion, hands-on gun handling skills, or other factors may cause us to deviate from our planned time frame. Our first priority is to give you the information that you need. The time frame comes second.
Our lunch break will be approximately 30-45 minutes. Please prepare accordingly.
Each person is expected to be an active participant in class. Meaning that you will be working hard to show you have the Knowledge, Skills and Attitude to become a RSO. While there is NO live fire for this class, your gun handling skills will be evaluated at all times. You want to be familiar with the NRA’s Gun Safety Rules.
The required training materials will be provided for you. You will want to bring items to take notes with and a highlighter for marking your student handbook.
We will supply all the necessary firearms and “Dummy” rounds. No other firearms or live ammunition will be allowed in the building. No Exceptions!
**PLEASE NOTE: Attending the Range Safety Officer (RSO) coarse DOES NOT guarantee that you will become a RSO. You have the opportunity to become a RSO. Your KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ATTITUDE will be evaluated, and upon successful completion of the course, you may be recommended to the NRA for Certification.
Thank you,
Michael S (Mick) Holmes,
