Chargrill Specialist
The Deck Down Under has been unbelievably busy, so we are adding another highly experienced kitchen professional to our already seasoned team.
This is a newly created position. We are not replacing anyone. Many members of our kitchen staff have been with us for years, and several have previously worked as lead cooks, kitchen supervisors, or managers at other restaurants.
That is simply the experience level of our team.
We are looking for someone who can step into that environment, work beside other accomplished kitchen professionals, and contribute at the same high level.
This is not an entry-level cooking position.
Our ideal candidate has extensive high-volume restaurant experience and is especially strong on chargrill. You must be able to maintain quality, timing, communication, and organization when the restaurant is extremely busy and the tickets are pouring in.
Experience running expo or the wheel is a major advantage.

Has serious high-volume line cooking experience Is highly skilled on chargrill Remains calm and productive during extreme rushes Understands ticket timing and full-line coordination Communicates well with experienced cooks and chefs Can work expo or the wheel when needed Takes ownership without needing constant direction Values teamwork over titles or hierarchy Is dependable, professional, and consistentOur kitchen operates differently from many restaurants.
